How to get to MDF

MDF has administrative offices within Greenbank College, Liverpool. There are no services for individual disabled people available at these offices: MDF works at a strategic level and supports voluntary groups that are of and for disabled people.

By car:

A - From Liverpool City centre (and from tunnels to the Wirral and Chester)

  • Follow signs for Widnes
  • Follow brown signs to The Palm House that take you along the broad Princes Park Road
  • Follow the signs into Sefton Park
  • When you can see the Palm House (in the park to your right), turn left into Greenbank Lane (brown sign "Greenbank Park")
  • On your right pass Greenbank Sports Academy
  • Greenbank College is the next building

B - From the M62 (Warrington and Manchester)

  • Turn left at the end of the motorway (at "The Rocket" pub) onto the ring road
  • Follow the signs along Queens Drive towards "Liverpool John Lennon Airport", and then follow signs to Aigbuth or Mossley Hill
  • After 4 miles, Queens Drive goes under two bridges as it goes up a hill. At the lights at the top of this hill turn right into *North Mossley Hill Road (signpost to Lourdes Hospital)
  • After 500m, just before the Hospital. turn left into Greenbank Lane
  • Greenbank College is on the left just after the University Halls of Residence.

C - From Runcorn and Widnes

  • Follow signs to Liverpool City centre
  • At Aigburth Vale turn right at the lights (brown signs to "Sefton Park") into Ashfield Road
  • Left at next lights (sign to "Sefton Park")
  • Right at the park (Mossley Hill Drive)
  • Right at small roundabout (into Queens Drive)
  • Left at the lights (into North Mossley Hill Road)
  • see above at *

There are a number of spaces reserved for disabled drivers at the front of Greenbank College and in the additional car park which is behind the College.

Public Transport:

The nearest Merseyrail station with a taxi rank and with lift access to platforms is Liverpool Central.

Accessible bus routes from Liverpool town centre

Take route 80A or 75  from near Lime Street and Central rail stations. Change at Penny Lane to route 173 (for "Sefton Park") which stops outside Greenbank College.
