The BBC reports that a document has been leaked from Whitehall which proposes getting rid of the Work Related Activity Group from Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) on the grounds that people on the benefit need more of an incentive to find work. If this happened, ESA recipients in that particular group would stand to lose nearly £30 a week as they would get paid at the same rate as Jobseekers Allowance.
